Business Matchmaking with Honorary Consuls of Slovenia

In recent weeks, we have established new connections with various organizations across the U.S. that represent Slovenian interests, foster community building, and promote growth. Many members have expressed a desire for stronger ties to help us all build meaningful friendships and professional networks beyond our immediate circles.

On October 25, the Slovenian Embassy in Washington, D.C. hosted the annual meeting for Slovenia’s General and Honorary Consuls from the United States, Mexico, and Panama, focusing on strengthening Slovenia’s international interests. Ambassador Iztok Mirošič highlighted economic cooperation opportunities, especially in technology, AI, space, and innovation, as well as cultural exchange and engagement with Slovenian communities abroad. Keynote speakers included Finance Minister Klemen Boštjančič on Slovenia’s economic environment and Governor of the Bank of Slovenia Boštjan Vasle on economic growth. Chairman of the American-Slovenian Club, Sasha Mrak Hendrickson, MBA, presented opportunities for business collaboration between Slovenia and the U.S.
